January Progress

Sense this is a blog to document my stitching accomplishments I have some progress for January 2010. I made mittens for my daughter's best friend who lives in NY. She complimented Marissa's and thought they would be handy when she road the subway.

I also finished this sweater for my nephew whose wife had a baby in Decemeber. This is the Felix sweater pattern I had done last year.

I had started this cross stitch from Prairie Schooler that I picked up at Christmas. I had done quite a bit on it and then realized I was off two. This meant that I had to frog about half of what I had done. This weekend I caught up to where I was and now can proceed with the "Weather Wise" sampler.

Lovely mittens.
How frustrating is that to be out by two and have to move it all over. Hope the rest of the stitching goes much better.

Just had to come over and say thanks for visiting my blog. Please come again soon!

I was reading your profile and see you're a NASCAR fan too. We're a racing family. Our 2 oldest grandsons race at our local tracks.
Do you have a favorite driver?

Your handwork is lovely. I haven't knitted or crocheted in forever. Are the fingerless gloves hard to make?

Great mittens, Gayle!

That's the reason I finally stopped stitching---I kept getting off, and realized I just couldn't see it well enough anymore. I loved doing in on linens, so I didn't ever really love the larger Aida cloths.

Thanks for dropping by knit/pickin'
