A Knitting Finish

Monday my DIL called and asked me if I could make a baby blanket and burp cloths for her to take to a family in Texas. I had this blanket on my needles and finished it on Wednesday in time for her to leave on Friday. I got the pattern here. (http://home.howstuffworks.com/free-knitting-patterns-for-baby-blankets2.htm) I will probably make this again. After rushing to finish this my hands are a bit sore so I am trying to decide what to make next.
As I make burp cloths, I have noticed that I am making a lot for little boys that are being born. About a 5 to 1 ratio. Has anyone else seen this where they live? I wonder what the future holds.

Cute blanket. I have the opposite.. more girls than boys. When I had my first girl 5 years ago there were 12 people in my birthing class and only 1 was having a boy...lol

Love the blanket! It's beautiful!! My ward seems to be having even amounts of girls and boys lately. I am certainly thankful for my little boy after having two girls! :)

Love the patterning on that blanket. Good thing you had it on the needles! Although--you'd have to be a faster knitter than I---anyone would!!
