Vacation--Part 2 and a Little Stitching

World War II Momorial

Mount Vernon

My sister Sharon.

Ric and I took a quick trip to Washington DC to visit Marissa. The purpose was to accompany her to the Temple. We got to see family and meet some of her friends while she has been living in Virginia. Even though it was brief, we will schedule a return trip to see more of the sites.

Fortunately while traveling I had a lot of time to knit or read. I worked on the dish cloths because they were transportable. I noticed that my gauge changed with the circular needles I used on the plane or I was more relaxed. LOL

We were in DC once several years ago. We were only there a few hours and ran around like crazy trying to take a lot of things in. I'd love to go back someday. We didn't make Mount Vernon although our daughter has visited there once. It's one of the places I'd really like to see.

I'm surprised they'd let you on the plane with knitting needles.

I'm so glad you made the trip! I see your traveling knitting is dishcloths too! I hope I can see Moutn Vernon sometime soon. We've been to monticello, which is wonderful---with Jefferson's inventions all over!

Still praying for your husband to find the job he wants!!
